Post lymphatic drainage care

After a lymphatic drainage session, to maximize the benefits and support your lymphatic system:

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxins and waste that may have been stimulated during the lymphatic drainage. I recommend drinking 2 to 2.5L of water after the treatment and for 3-4 days.

  • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Steer clear of alcohol and caffeinated beverages, as they can dehydrate the body and counteract the effects of lymphatic drainage.

  • Eat Light and Nutritious Meals: Opt for healthy, easily digestible foods to support your body's healing process and avoid heavy, processed meals that may burden the lymphatic system.

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose loose-fitting and breathable clothing to avoid compressing the lymphatic pathways.

  • Avoid Hot Baths or Saunas: Refrain from hot baths or saunas immediately after lymphatic drainage, as they may cause excess fluid loss and dehydration.

  • Listen to your body: Some people will be tired after a session where other will leave more energized. There is no right or wrong, just listen to yourself.

By following these easy steps, you can maintain the positive effects of the treatment and support your lymphatic system's overall health and function.
